چکیده

In MINDACT trial, 4 risk categories (RC) by clinical (c) and genomic (g) breast cancer (BC) were defined. The study showed that the cHigh/gLow group without chemotherapy (CT) had a 94.8 % (CI 95% 92.9-96-2) 5-year Distant Metastases Free Survival (DMFS), so meeting trial primary objective. Recently, MP g with excellent prognosis, named ultralow (gUL), has been described (15% in MINDACT). However, few data exist regarding distribution of these RC proportion gUL invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) population. Moreover, association Ki67 values is rarely studied, both general population and, particulary, ILC pts. We aimed to address all questions comparing our series non-special type (NST) pts whom was performed. Pts ER+/PgR±/HER2- early BC diagnosed from 2012 2020 institution reviewed. Clinical defined as trial; score (UL score: 0.355 1.00). 152 identified. NST: 85%, ILC: 15%. Median age NST/ICL: 54/59 years. Risk factors for ductal, lobular, and mixed ductal-lobular breast cancer in a screening population.

BACKGROUND Biological distinctions between histologic subtypes of breast cancer suggest etiologic differences, although few studies have been powered to examine such differences. We compared associations between several factors and risk of ductal, lobular, and mixed ductal-lobular breast cancers. METHODS We used risk factor data from the Breast Cancer Surveillance Consortium for 3,331,744 mam...

Prognostic Value of MammaPrint® in Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer

BACKGROUND MammaPrint® is a microarray-based gene expression test cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration to assess recurrence risk in early-stage breast cancer, aimed to guide physicians in making neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatment decisions. The increase in the incidence of invasive lobular carcinomas (ILCs) over the past decades and the modest representation of ILC in the MammaPrint d...

Relationship between menopausal hormone therapy and risk of ductal, lobular, and ductal-lobular breast carcinomas.

Combined estrogen and progestin hormone therapy (CHT) increases breast cancer risk, but this risk varies by breast cancer type. Several studies indicate that CHT is more strongly related to lobular carcinoma risk than to ductal carcinoma risk, but these studies have been limited in their assessments of recency and duration of use, and none included a centralized pathology review. We conducted a...

BIRC5 Genomic Copy Number Variation in Early-Onset Breast Cancer

Background: Baculoviral inhibitor of apoptosis repeat-containing 5 (BIRC5) gene is an inhibitor of apoptosis that expresses in human embryonic tissues but it is absent in most healthy adult tissues. The copy number of BIRC5 has been indicated to be highly increased in tumor tissues; however, its association with the age of onset in breast cancer is not well understood. Methods: Forty tumor tiss...

Genetic alterations in lobular breast cancer by comparative genomic hybridization.

Infiltrating lobular carcinoma (ILC) and infiltrating ductal carcinoma (IDC) are distinguished by their histopathological appearance. However, little is known about the differences in genetic changes between lobular cancers and ductal cancers. We used comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) and compared aberrations in 19 ILCs and 46 IDCs. The total number of aberrations was lower in ILC than in...
